A CLAUDE.md file is great for one project. It can't hold what was decided in another repository, in a chat, or by a teammate using a different app.

Connect Claude Code in about a minute
- Sign in to Contexel and open the Connect tab.
- Choose Claude Code and copy the command it shows you.
- Run it in your terminal.
- Start Claude Code and ask it to remember something.
The command looks like claude mcp add --transport http contexel https://contexel.ai/mcp. Copy yours from the console, because it may include a sign-in detail for your account.
Then just talk to it
There's nothing new to learn. Ask your AI to remember something, and ask about it later from any connected app.

Should I stop using CLAUDE.md?
No. Keep it for instructions about one repository. Use Contexel for what your team knows across repositories and apps.
Can Claude Code set up the rest for me?
Yes. Once connected, the console gives you a one-line request you can paste into Claude Code, and it adds the Contexel instructions to your project for you.
Who can see what I save?
You start with a private workspace that only you can use. You choose when to create a shared one and who to invite.
Using other AI apps too?
It's the same memory everywhere. Connect as many apps as you like.
