What is MCP? Do I need to understand it?
No. MCP is the open standard AI apps use to connect to services. You paste one address into your app's connector settings. Nothing to install.
Which apps does it work with?
ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Gemini CLI, Windsurf, and any app with MCP connectors. They all share one memory.
Who can see my memories?
Your private workspace is yours. On a team or family account, the person who manages the account can open your private workspace if needed, and you're told who and when. Shared workspaces are seen by the people you invite. Details in our privacy policy.
What if my AI remembers something wrong?
Fix or remove it in Contexel. Every connected AI uses the new version.
Can I take my data with me?
